There's always a story behind the story, right? Today, I entered a content contest over at the Dharma Artist Collective. The video I entered with
is featured below 👇. But this is the story behind the story of how we made this project. It includes my personal process of dream interpretation. And it gives you an idea of how real spirituality works in real life!Last Friday, the full moon/supermoon in Taurus was a wild card packed with surprises, shifts of plans, and unexpected turns of events. So I wasn’t totally shocked when Edwin called me to see if I'd be interested in throwing out our individual Scorpio Games videos to create one together.
Originally, we thought we'd record a channeling session we'd be able to use for the video. I laid outside naked taking my Moon bath like I do every month on the night of the full moon. I couldn't believe how fucking bright the moon was! Did you see it?
Then, we started channeling. Five hours later, we had a really cool recording of a channeling session...but no clue how we'd be able to turn it into a cosmology video.
Then, we said goodnight and went to sleep.
That night, I had a very vivid dream. And when I woke up, I remembered so many details of it that I had to record a voice note to myself because I didn't trust my fingers to write it all down fast enough!
THE DREAM:
There was a "Dark Red Fire" that was illegal for anyone to possess unless they could prove they started it with yellow fire and grew it into the Dark Red Fire. My teacher, Erick, told me and my classmates about a secret book called "Sage and Fire" that contained the secret of how to get the Dark Red Fire without going through the yellow or orange fire first. The front of the book was white with black lettering and a picture of the ivy vine in black ink on the front cover. I wasn't planning to read the book, nor did I have interest in getting the Dark Red Fire, nor did I plan to go on the trip with my classmates. But my friend, Tracy, said she needed me to come to help her so I went on the trip with my class at the last minute. While we were there, we read the secret book and went to a barn and we successfully made the Dark Red Fire. My friend Ronald figured out a loophole to make it possible for us to keep the Dark Red Fire legally without being able to prove we had gone through the yellow fire first to make it. There were a lot of women in my class -- my friends -- who were dealing with legal issues. One woman, for example, needed to get her son's father to pay child support. These women needed an advocate. When they would come to me for help we would meet in my car because it was parked in a parking lot. One day I went to an office to interrogate 3 men lawyers. I had to interrogate them -- not for the sake of attacking them -- but to see how they would react. I had to tell each one about his flaws because whoever I chose would be representing all the women in their legal issues in court and also I would be sharing with them the power of the Dark Red Fire to help us win the cases. The first man was smart but not applying any of his knowledge. The second man was confident but it was based on trying to overcompensate. The third man thought everything was a joke and didn't take anything seriously enough.
ASSOCIATIONS:
Dark Red Fire -- powerful, transformative, superhero, supernatural, superhuman, hottest heat, wholemate, mother earth
Secret Book -- hidden knowledge, mysterious, off limits, taboo, untouchable, too powerful for humans
Tracy -- need for assistance, train wreck, addiction
Barn -- secrecy, outside, shelter, remote, removed
Ronald -- clever, out of the box thinking, wizard, smart
Women with legal issues -- vulnerable, need advocate, need justice
3 lawyers:
1. Smart but unapplied -- who cares how much you know? So what?
2. Confident but Overcompensating -- fake, not genuine, insecure
3. Not serious -- needs to grow up, failure to launch
PARTS OF SELF:
Dark Red Fire -- my desire for profound transformation and my compulsion to bypass conventional paths to get it
Secret Book -- my ability to access hidden knowledge and secret wisdom
Tracy -- my loyalty
Barn -- the part of me who prioritizes solitude
Ronald -- my cleverness
Women with legal issues -- my feminine woundedness from living in a patriarchal society
Three lawyers --
1. Smart but unapplied -- the know it all part of me
2. Confident but overcompensating -- my insecurity
3. Not serious -- my immaturity/ Peter Pan part
INTERPRETATION:
*99% of the time your dream is about you (not other people), but it became so clear to me that this dream was the 1% -- this dream was about our Scorpio cosmology video!
Edwin's story is the story of the Sun Wheel and that's what he was channeling the night before. My story is the story of the Moon Wheel and that's what I was channeling. Then, I went to sleep and dreamed of the Fire Wheel -- which is Our story.
The Dark Red Fire = our desire for profound transformation and our compulsion to bypass conventional paths to get it.
My dreamer and Animus showed us the 3 lawyers represent the 3 qualities who will sabotage our path if we don’t keep them in check:
1. Tendency to intellectualize. Smartypantsness is unnecessary here. Surrender it. Leave it at the door.
2. Tendency to overcompensate for insecurities. Practice humility -- not inflation.
3. Proclivity to run away from answering the call to face reality/responsibility/adulthood.
CONCLUSION:
The 3 lawyers became our guides in making the final product you will see in our cosmology video. The original video was an hour long. When we had to make the cuts, we stayed true to the 3 lawyers: (1) We cut out all intellectualizing, (2) Kept in everything that was vulnerable & tender, and (3) Visioned a future like real adults are supposed to do!
P.S. To me, the spiritual life is not a theory -- it has to be lived! If you're looking for a container where you can practice making real magic in life like I did in this story, check me out at my new online community called Soul Revolution.
